SPECIAL NOTE:
MICHAEL FONG LEGACY
In the near future, the Fong family will bring to publication a book on fishing in California over a 50 year period written by Michael. Upon publication, a memorial is planned to be established along side one of Michael's favorite California streams.

Until this becomes reality, please consider making a contribution to your favorite consevation organizations. Here were Mike's favorites.

Michael Fong
was inducted into the Hall of Fame of
the North California Council Federation of Fly Fishers.

Read an article about the event.

"Michael Fong was a giant in the world of fly fishing. His tireless efforts did much to popularize and advance our sport. He has left a legacy that will benefit future generations of fly anglers, and for this the Federation of Fly Fishers will be forever grateful."

From Frank Amato Books: The Inside Angler was a small-run magazine with a big cult following. From over 200 destinations he'd covered, Michael Fong narrowed down the list to pick the 10 best western fly-fishing destinations. The in-depth information provided on each lake, reservoir, and river chosen will guide you to a successful day on that water.

Locations include the best fishing in Montana, Oregon, British Columbia, California, Alberta, Wyoming and Idaho.  For each destination, Michael and Christine include in-depth information, such as: a description of the river and its surroundings; productive techniques and flies; fly shops; accommodations, including campsites and RV parks; restaurants; and much more.

This book belongs on the shelf of all fly-fishers...those lucky enough to live in this grand region and those who visit its world-famous fly-fishing!

8.5 x 11 inches, 96 pages, all color, 10 detailed maps
