Sweet Dreams Inn, 1410 Unita, Green River, WY 82935 (307/875-7554), is the newest motel in town. Rates for a double were about $60/night.
Super 8 Motel, 280 West Flaming Gorge, Green River, WY 82935 (800/800-8000), is an older facility, but clean. Rates begin at around $40/single and $48/double.
Tex's Travel Camp, Star Route 2, Box 101, Green River, WY 82935 (307/875-2630), is located at the west side of Green River next to the river. There are many pull-throughs for large RVs plus sites exclusively set aside for tent camping. We found the showers clean and the grounds well maintained. Some sites include cable TV connections. Rates are moderate.
Embers Restaurant, 95 East Railroad Avenue, Green River, WY 82935 (307/875-9983), is popular with locals and serves good food with friendly service. It is open seven days a week for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Prices are moderate.
Cruel Jack's, at the junction of Interstate 80 and U. S. Highway 191 (Exit 307), is a truck stop with a popular restaurant. The menu is typical American, the service friendly and the prices are moderate.
Fontenelle Service, Michael Marble, proprietor, Star Route 1, Kemmerer, WY 83101 (307/877-4844), is located on Highway 372 about five miles below Fontenelle Reservoir. It has groceries, gas and does shuttles. The cost for the average shuttle is around $12. Michael is also a licensed guide.
